One Moorer LLC Acquires Publishing Imprint
September 18, 2023 - One Moorer LLC is pleased to announce its acquisition of publishing imprint Hyenas in Petticoats Press, as part of its phase II expansion.
“When we launched One Moorer, it was always with the goal to include a publishing imprint,” said James Moorer, CEO at One Moorer LLC. “We are excited to embrace this opportunity to expand into independent publishing earlier than expected.”
“We’re delighted to hand over the reins to a heart-centered business who shares our vision and will enthusiastically run with it,” said Laura Davis of Hyenas in Petticoats Entertainment, the imprint’s Chicago-based parent company.
One Moorer plans to maintain the original focus of book-to-screen projects with a firm commitment to writers who have extra obstacles to success. “We can’t wait to give diverse and underrepresented authors a home for their unforgettable stories,” said Moorer.
Titles previously published by the original imprint will either default to out-of-print status or get a redesigned, new edition. One Moorer intends to relaunch the imprint with a new name and brand refocus later this year. The new name remains under wraps for now.
