A British journalist, best-selling author and screenwriter, Nicola Pittam was one of the youngest female reporters on Fleet Street when she began working for Rupert Murdoch’s red top daily newspaper The Sun and its sister paper The News Of The World, under the guidance and mentorship of Piers Morgan.

After moving to Los Angeles, she worked for Splash News, covering some of the biggest news and entertainment stories across America. She was the first reporter on the ground to cover the Columbine school shooting and on the celebrity side she has interviewed every major star from Jack Nicholson, Anthony Hopkins, and Christopher Lee to Kim Kardashian, Christian Bale, and Renee Zellweger.

Nicola is the co-author of four best-selling books. Vow of Silence, which she ghostwrote and edited, made the Sunday Times Top Ten Bestseller list the first week it was published, by Mardle Books, in September 2021.

Her biography of Oscar winning actor Christian Bale – titled Christian Bale: The Inside Story of the Darkest Batman and co-written with his former PA Harrison Cheung - won 4 awards in 2012-2013 including Best Biography at the Indie Book Awards and the National Indie Excellence Awards. Her first book George and Me – co-written by British icon Angie Best – was also a bestseller when it was published by Virgin Books in 2001.

Her latest book, The Rebel Pianist of Majdanek, was adapted from her screenplay of the same name and was published by Mardle Books in March 2024. It was a Finalist in the Next Generation Indie Book Awards and is a bestseller in Historical WWII fiction on Amazon.

Nicola also writes screenplays, both TV and feature dramas, that feature strong female characters. Her scripts have made the Bitch List 2019 and the inaugural Grey List 2023 of the Top 40 Writers Over 40. They have also placed in numerous contests including: Shore Scripts; Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards; Table Read My Screenplay Top 100; Atlanta Film Festival; Screencraft TV Pilot; Cinestory TV Fellowship.
