Laura is a Chicago-based screenwriter, script supervisor, best-selling author, comic, and visual artist.
Her dark comedy short story, "My Family From Hell" about an oddball family from Hell, Michigan was published in the bestselling anthology "The Stories of She" (2020). The anthology debuted on Amazon in the Top 50 of seven bestseller lists, including #1 New Release in Screenwriting. Laura has adapted the story for a feature length comedy.
Her debut novel, "The Recollection of Trees" (2019), was published under the pseudonym Sadie Francis Skyheart. It debuted on Amazon as #1 New Release in Children's Scary Stories, and #8 Bestseller Teen & YA Ghost Stories. It's second edition will be released this fall under One Moorer's publishing imprint, Dark Anthem Press. Books 2 & 3 in the trilogy are set to publish in 2025. The book series is in early adaptation for the screen.
Laura is originally from Michigan, and has a BA in International Relations from James Madison College at Michigan State University. She is a lifelong Detroit Lions fan but she'll cheer for the Bears when they're not playing against each other.
